Design problem
A rooftop restaurant and bar whose first asset is the view over the town, and whose kitchen had to work as well as the dining room looks.
Key decision
Keep the interior soft and low so the view comes first, and plan the kitchen to the same standard as the room.
Solution
An elegant, relaxed room open to the panorama, with a bar and a kitchen planned for service at full capacity.

Light
Ring chandeliers hang in layers beneath a sculpted ceiling, so the light falls soft and even along the whole room.

Material
Rose velvet, dark lacquer and brass: a small palette, repeated with precision from the bar to the last table.
