Design problem
A family house that had to bring contemporary architecture and a classical vocabulary together, and make the garden part of everyday life.
Key decision
Organise the house around a shaded arched loggia between the living rooms and the pool terrace.
Solution
We carried the project through architectural development, 3D visualisation, detailing and the site, so the design stayed whole from the first drawing to the finished house.
Design decisions
- 01
Proportion
Two clear volumes: a rendered upper floor resting on the arches, and a stone-clad wall anchoring the side of the house.
- 02
Light
At dusk, wall lights trace the columns and the stone, and the house is lit as one composition.
